FACILITY IMPACTS / CLOSURES 

We apologise for any inconvenience the following impacts and closures may cause.

Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix

As Albert Park is transformed into the home of the Rolex Australian Grand Prix, some parts of Melbourne Sports Centres - MSAC and Melbourne Sports Centres - Lakeside will be closed. From Tuesday 10th to Monday 16th of March inclusive, please be mindful when travelling to and from our venue. More information can be found here

MSAC

HYDROTHERAPY POOL:

Sunday March 8th: Due to a private booking, the Hydrotherapy Pool will be closed from 2pm to 3pm. 

POWER OUTAGE: 

Due to a scheduled power outage for maintenance purposes, the Aquatics reception will be closed from 3:15pm Tuesday the 18th of February until 7:00am Wednesday the 19th of February. Access to the facility is through the top floor of the multi deck carpark and main reception during this time period.

LAP LANE AVAILABILITY: 

As MSAC is the home of many school, state and national swimming competitions, lane availability can be impacted.

For up-to-date lap lane availability we recommend you check our live calendar here before each visit.

Friday 21st –  Tuesday 25th February: MSAC is proud to be hosting the International Gay and Lesbian Aquatics Competition in the outdoor competition pool, during this time, the outdoor competition pool will not be open for regular lap swimming. 

Saturday 29th February - Sunday 1st March: MSAC will be hosting the Victorian Sprint Championships, during this time there will very limited lanes available in the indoor and outdoor competition pools. 

Lakeside

Monday 2nd of March to Sunday 22nd of March: Lakeside Stadium will be closed during this period due to the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix.

Parkville (formerly SNHC)

Works are now underway for the State Netball Hockey Centre's $64.6 million upgrade. Be sure to check this page before your visit to learn of any restrictions.
