GRAND PRIX CENTRE, CAR PARK & GROUP FITNESS SCHEDULE

2020 GRAND PRIX CENTRE, CAR PARK AND GROUP FITNESS SCHEDULE

As Albert Park is transformed into the home of the Rolex Australian Grand Prix, some parts of Melbourne Sports Centres - MSAC will be closed including some car parks. From Tuesday 10th to Tuesday the 17th of March inclusive, please be mindful when travelling to and from our venue.

If you plan to visit during this time, access to the venue will be from the aquatic entry (for foot traffic only) and via the access points (north and south bridge) from our multi-deck car park on level three (3). If travelling to our venue in a vehicle or car, the only access to the multi-deck car park will be from the Cecil Street / Albert Road entry. The Southern Car park will be closed as it becomes part of the Grand Prix event area. Be sure to check the precinct alerts page before your visit, in case of any last minute updates.

Driving to the precinct during this time is normally difficult due to road closures and an increase in traffic on the roads, we recommend you take the tram (12 – get off at stop #131 Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre, or 96 – get off at stop #128 Albert Park) as your first option to alleviate any delays or stress.

The multi-deck car park will be open to tenants, members and the public during the Grand Prix. Please ensure you adhere to the terms and conditions outlined via the signage.

If the car park is full, alternative parking may be available on Canterbury Road and surrounding Albert Park Streets with public access however; this will be limited. Please refer to the Grand Prix community guide here for parking restrictions.

We apologise for any inconvenience during this time. If you have any questions or concerns about parking or access, please contact our friendly customer experience team on 9926 1555 or via email.

Please see below for further information on centre closures during this period.

The gym will remain open as normal for our members. The Wellness Zone will remain open, with an amended timetable for group and aqua fitness classes.

Lap lanes will remain open, please refer to our lap lane availability page for live updates on lane availability.

The stadiums including basketball, table tennis, badminton, squash and volleyball, will all be closed.

Melbourne Sports Centres - Lakeside will be closed from the 5th of March to the 25th of March as it becomes apart of the Grand Prix entertainment area.
