Victorians to benefit from State Government's record investment in women's and community sport

We have some exciting news to share!  This morning, Premier Daniel Andrews joined the Sports Minister, John Eren, in announcing a $62 million upgrade and redevelopment for the State Netball & Hockey Centre in Parkville.

Along with MSAC and Lakeside Stadium, SNHC forms part of the Melbourne Sports Centres which are collectively managed by the State Sport Centres Trust.

The upgrade will cement Parkville as the home for netball and hockey in Australia with six new indoor netball courts, a new indoor hockey facility, a high-performance strength and conditioning gym and a home for Netball Victoria and Hockey Victoria.

The redevelopment will also establish the Change our Game Sport Leadership Centre, which will kick start initiatives to drive cultural change and grow female leadership in sport.

There’s a lot of work ahead to deliver this fantastic project with the support of the State Government.  It’s an exciting time for women’s sport and all who use our facilities, and we look forward to sharing further updates as the project develops.
