MSAC Aquatics

Home to our world-class aquatic facilities that are available for professional and amateur training, personal aquatic fitness, competitions and recovery.

Melbourne Sports Centre is the home of performance swimming in Victoria. MSAC proudly hosts Victorian Institute of Sport recognised swimmers and other high-performance programs. Swimming Victoria also utlises MSAC for all major swimming competitions in Victoria.

Our aquatic facilities include our two 50-metre competition pools, a 25-metre indoor lap pool, a multi-purpose pool, our hydrotherapy pool plus a spa, sauna and steam room.

Saturday and Sunday: 7am – 8pm

Public Holidays: 7am – 8pm

ANZAC Day: 1pm – 8pm

MSAC Parking & Entry

Parking

Parking for MSAC is available all day in our Multi-Deck Carpark and Stadiums Carpark, at the southern end of MSAC.

We strongly encourage contactless payment upon exit, with Members and Swim School families receiving three hours of complimentary parking every day.

Please note that buses are not permitted to park or drop off passengers within MSAC car parks. There are allocated bus zones on Aughtie Drive for this purpose.

Due to ongoing roadworks on Aughtie Drive, there will be no access and parking for buses on Aughtie Drive until approximately mid-April. Buses dropping off patrons for MSAC need to do so on Canterbury Road, and buses dropping off patrons for Lakeside need to do so on Albert Road Drive outside Gate 1. There will also be no bus parking in the Lakeside Carpark during this time.

ENTRY

Entry to MSAC Aquatics is through the Aquatics Reception, across from the Multi-Deck Carpark, or Main Reception, accessed from Aughtie Drive. Please note the Level 1 and 2 footbridge entrances from the Multi-Deck Carpark to MSAC remain closed in order to maintain our visitor records at key entries.

All visitors are required to register their attendance for contact tracing purposes with the QR codes provided upon entry. Please speak to our Customer Experience team if you require assistance or have any questions.

Getting Here By Tram

There are two convenient tram routes which drop you right at our front door.

Route 96 (East Brunswick to St Kilda Beach) – Stop 129 Route 12 (City to South Melbourne/St Kilda) – Stop 131

Café & Retail

Sir Albert Cafe & Aquatics Reception Cafe

We have two cafes at MSAC, serving barista made coffee and a delicious range of hot and cold food! The Sir Albert Cafe (at Main Reception) and Aquatics Reception Cafe (located across from the Multi Deck Carpark) are open 7 days a week!

Please note we are operating a cashless payment system.

Retail

We have a range of aquatic wear, including, bathers, goggles, towels and caps, as well as gear for stadium sports – shuttlecocks and squash balls, for sale at Main Reception. Please note we are operating on a cashless system, and trying on items is not permitted at the current time.

Lakeside Sports Medicine

Conveniently located to the left of our main foyer, Lakeside Sports Medicine Centre offer a variety of sports medicine services including; physiotherapy, podiatry, myotherapy, orthopedic surgery and dietetics.
